2004 Off-Season

Huron League rules dictate that teams keep a total of eight (8) players from year to year, without restriction to specific positions. Starting now and continuing until May 1, 2004, you should work toward cutting your roster to 8 players. You may drop one player at a time using the "Drop Player" button on the left side under the standings, or you may wait to drop a number of players at one time.

You may also talk trade with any of your fellow owners. Trades may involve players and/or draft picks from the restocking draft, to be held starting on May 15, 2004 or any of the four rounds in the off-season free agent period. If you make a trade involving a draft pick, please notify the league office when you send over the proposal.

Starting on May 15, 2004, owners will have the opportunity to add additional players from the list of NFL Rookies, remaining free agents, and newly dropped players using the reverse order of the previous season's regular season standings as well as with any additional draft picks they have acquired. Adding a player at this time DOES NOT require a drop from your current roster. Owners are permitted to expand their rosters by four players during the off-season. Rosters will then need to be trimmed by four players prior to the start of the 2004 regular season.

Then, on June 15, 2004, a restocking auction will begin in which owners have 80 units in which to bid on a minimum of eight (8) new players for their team.
