Huron League 1 - Owners

League Main - League Rules - League Discussion

The Rookie and remaining Free Agent signing period begins on May 1, 2003. At that time, all owners are allotted 40 additional "units" of money, plus whatever they have remaining from the March player allocation draft, in which to bid on rookies and free agents during the off-season. Rookie and free agent bidding periods will begin on May 1, June 1, July 1 and August 1. Owners have the option of adding an unlimited number of players during the off-season, provided they do not exceed the 40 unit cap limit. Owners also have the option of using all 40 units in one month, or spreading it out over the entire off-season. Each time a player is added, a roster spot must be opened by dropping a player. Once owners have used their allotted 40 "units", they will not be permitted to make additional off-season acquisitions.
