LTP owner Don Jones, directing comments at Black Diamond frontman Joe Nunney. For the record, Nunney hit five homers for the Stow-Kent Merchants softball team this summer after only hitting two during his first four years with the team.

"I'm spending all this money and I don't know why. I should have waited to spend it when I'm facing a good team."
Storm Thomas, Gargoyles owner, after making three transactions this week in preparation for his showdown with Mike Szydlowski and the Polish Monarchs. The Gargoyles are favored by 22.

"This week I pulled a stupid move like Storm (Thomas) did in Week One. I didn't play (Tyrone) Wheatley, but I am smart enough to draft intelligently so that I do not have to rely on one player to make the difference between victory or defeat."
LTP's Jones, in response to Week One comments from Thomas and the Gargoyles. At the time, Thomas had suggested that the only reason LTP had managed a victory over his team was because of a coaching error on his part.

"By the way, LTP is 3-0. Everyone think real hard about what the difference is this year from last year."
Jones, commenting on the fact that his 1998 club -- which finished the year 2-10 -- had Steve Suder as a co-owner. Suder has since moved on to operate his own franchise, the P.P. Brains.

"I am the best team on paper and will never lose again. It pisses me off that I am a 51 point underdog. I'll stick 51 in your face and up your ass. This league has never given me the respect I deserve."
Cosmic Monsters owner Brad Rzyczycki, who earned his first victory of the season this week, in an e-mail to commissioner Kirk Pavelich. Rzyczycki was obviously upset at the fact that he is a 51 point underdog to the undefeated Psychedelic B's.
