Owner Profiles: Dave Collins
Editor's Note: This is the third in a series of feature stories on the men who make up the Erie Fantasy Football League.

Another rookie with championship credentials from other fantasy leagues is Dayton Penatrators GM Dave Collins, a three-time champion in the now defunct Beaver Valley League.
Collins, who ought out the franchise rights to the Gargoyles two days before the 2002 draft, served as GM of the Penatrators for seven years in the BVL, winning titles in '98, '00 and '01. When Polish Monarchs GM Mike Szydlowski failed to show for this year's draft, the Gargoyles re-entered the league and promptly took a whipping from the Penatrators in Week One, 107-38.
"I would say long dicking my very first opponent in the league to the name of the Gargoyles would be my greatest moment thus far," Collins said. "However, the event has been tarnished due to the fact I think the Gargoyles are sort of like that drunk slut at the end of the bar and everybody just takes their turn at having their way with her each separate week."
Despite averaging 91.2 points per game, Collins' club has struggled since opening week, winning just one out of five contests. He engaged in a verbal confrontation with the self-proclaimed Erie League smack daddy - Bryan Vince - and then promptly got spanked 111-71.
"I admit that I'm going to be the fledgling organization for 2002 season," Collins said. "I am looking to build the foundation of a team that will dominate the Erie League for years to come. I'm still learning the owners and watching their transactions, trying to identify the owner I can plunger rape in a trade and get them to think they made out on the whole deal."
Collins, who will turn 30 on Oct. 23rd, serves as an accountant for the United States Air Force Reconnaissance Program Office.
"I usually can spend as much time as needed with fantasy football during work, with the exception of the month of September," Collins said. "Our end of the fiscal year is the 30th of September which requires a lot number crunching (fudging) to get in balance with congressional authorization for the past fiscal year."
Collins, who said the Erie League is the most detailed and hyped-up fantasy league he has ever participated in, said owners shouldn't underestimate the ability of his club to rally during the second half of the season.
"BE REAL, REAL QUIET, SHSHSHSHHS when you come to PENATRATOR stadium," Collins said. "I would hate and love to embarrass you on the football field and in the media clippings of the Sports Page."
