Penatrators set to make quick work of league
DAYTON (AP) - The Dayton Penatrators camp has been quiet so far this football season. However, the silence broke yesterday in a big way.
"I
told the owners last year, that they better beat me while they can. Once I had
the opportunity to build my own team with my own players that their hopes are
gone and they are merely playing for second place," stated GM and Coach Dave
Collins (pictured right).
"Our team just physically beats you up inside with a relentless rushing attack," Collins added. "It has to be demoralizing on the other sideline when we just continually break you up on the inside, and just when you make adjustments we hit you with a big pass play down the field. I truly feel sorry for these sorry bastards. You know the worn out saying 'you CAN'T STOP us -- you can only hope to contain.'"
In addition to a general blast at the competition in his division (VINCE, BARTH, DAVIS) Collins added something specifically for TEAM BUD owner Jody Barth.
"Barth had quite a bit to say about our organization when we still had 23 units left at the end of the league draft and how stupid I was to hold on to all those units without using them," Collins said. "Well, you just have to understand his mental make up and acknowledge he simply doesn't understand -- it's not HOW MUCH you spend as it is where and when you spend that is important."
Collins closed with a final shot at Barth.
"But we are talking about a guy who takes 2 hours to watch 60 minutes and who thinks by putting a piece of paper on his TV that he is watching PAY-PER-VIEW, so we have to cut him some slack."
